Episode #10   "yO-Yo fiShiNg"!

Here we have the 12” Jelly Worm produced by the Mann’s Bait Company in Eufaula, Alabama. The company was founded by Tom Mann in 1958. He was a great tournament angler and a good friend. He passed away in 2005 but the company still produces the lures that made him famous.

Fish Tip: Many of us are intimidated to fish with large lures. However, using big baits will often times increase the size of the fish that we catch. The bottom line here is that bass, especially Mr. Big lips, can easily inhale large lures. So don’t be afraid to try some on your next outing. You’re going to like the results!

PS. Use a large hook to penetrate the thick plastic, gO fiSh!

Episode #11   "wAkE eM' uP"

Q: Hey Fish, where is the picture of this week's lure of the week?

A: Well....I'm glad you asked. I've decided not to post this week's lure because it would give away what the whole show is all about and who in their right mind would do such a thing...right?

Q: So, when will you post it so I can give it a try?

A: Just relax! I will post it on Saturday and then it all comes together! By the way, thanks again for taking the time to visit the website and if you have any questions, please join me on facebook.com/fishfishburne.   gO fiSH!

Q: You're Welcome Fish, have a great show!

A: Wow, that Q: guy sure is nice!

Well, due to the overwhelming emails that we've received this week with inquires as to just what the lure of the week is, I've decided to reveal.

All lures are not created = equal! And just because a lure works well on one particular body of water or in a certain geographic location, it doesn't mean it will work on the lake that your fishing.
However, when it comes to catching bass, have you ever noticed what happens when a baitfish is stunned or injured and is slowly swimming around creating a "wake" on the water's surface? KA-BLAMMO!!!
Predator fish can't stand to look up and see such an easy meal just strolling along as if to say, "Hey...you down there...I'm a little disoriented and I sure am tasty!" That my friends is why you need one of these.

So...Wake em' Up with a WAKEBAIT! They work on all species of fish, both fresh and salt, and come in lots of cool-color-combinations and sizes.

FISH-TIP: I chose this particular Wakebait because of the size baitfish I observed swimming around and you should do the same wherever you're fishing!

Episode #12   "cHeaP fiShiNg"

Ok...here's the deal. Go spend a "little" cash and add SoFt-sTicK-bAitS to your arsenal. They may look like a cigar or a lifeless piece of plastic but when Mama Thunder-Biscuit sees this thing falling, she just can't stand it! Many makes, models and sizes to chose from but start with something in earth-tone colors such as green, brown or black in a (4)" or (6)". From there, match the bait (Ex: crayfish, shad or shiners) and you can't go wrong.

Fish-Tip: There are multiple ways to rig these guys so you be the judge based on the type of cover in your lake. And always remember the Golden-Fish-Rule. "If you have confidence in the lure, you will catch fish!"
